Our Impact

Though founded in the United States, our organization has had a widespread impact on communities all over the world. Since inception, TheOpenCode Foundation has provided a free computer science education to many students globally, especially to rural areas in Uganda, Kenya, and India. Not only do we provide free training to schools in such regions, we also provide them resources such as student curriculum, computers, and access to an internet connection.

We're thankful for the support we've recieved from tech companies such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google as well as contributions from individual donors across the country. This support has allowed us to expand our impact and increase the upward mobility of many underrepresented youth around the world. The image below shows one of our computer science labs in Africa, which students visit on weekends and holidays to develop 21st century skills and learn to code.

We hope to continue expanding our organization, but we can't do it without the help of our sponsors and volunteers. We're grateful to those who've helped us reach this many people, and we can't wait to see what's next for our students and our organization. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a volunteer or donating to our cause, feel free to email us.
